Frequently asked questions
How often are these fishing conditions updated?
Each county is refreshed from Open-Meteo at least every three hours, so the table updates more than four times a day.
Where is each county's weather measured?
We use a central point worked out from the fishing venues and tackle shops Tackl lists in that county. Conditions at an individual water can differ, so each venue page shows its own reading.
Does Tackl give a fishing score?
Yes. Search for a venue to see its full Tackl Conditions score, six-factor breakdown, feeding windows and forecast. Scores are weather indicators, not a catch prediction or professional advice.
Why does air pressure matter for fishing?
Many anglers find fish feed more confidently in stable or slowly falling pressure and go quiet after a sharp rise. It is a rule of thumb, not a guarantee.
Is this professional advice?
No. Always check the forecast and water conditions yourself, follow venue rules and put safety first.
